CWB Group, through its expertise, experience and commitment to service excellence, provides welding certification services and industry education and training. Our QUASAR division offers third party management and ISO registration auditing services to over 40 industry sectors throughout the world. Proudly Canadian, CWB Group is accredited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and offers a wide range of industry specific certification, registration and auditing services to many of Canada’s well-recognized companies.
Breadth of service
• Provides national and international services (in over 34 countries around the world), through a network of approximately 200 staff solely focused on the welding and joining industry
• Currently witnesses approximately 50,000 welder qualification tests on an annual basis to both Canadian and international standards
• Currently certifies close to 6,000 welding companies to meet Canada’s national welding certification program ( as per CSA welding standards)
• Currently certifies close to 2,000 welding consumables and electrodes (as per CSA welding standards)
• Currently certifies close to 5,000 welding inspectors to Canada’s national visual welding certification program (as per CSA welding standards)
• Currently qualifies approximately 10,000 welding supervisors to Canada’s national welding supervisor qualification (as per CSA welding standards)
• Is the Authorized National Body (ANB) for the education and certification systems of the International Institute of Welding (IIW), a group of approximately 60 countries around the world that have developed international qualification and certification programs for personnel and companies
• Provides quality/systems registration services under ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001

The Canadian Welding Association (CWA) is a membership driven division of the CWB Group and is mandated to promote and support the welding and joining industry in Canada. The CWA is represented throughout Canada by a loyal Chapter membership of over 15,000 professionals and companies in the welding and joining industry with the goal to be at 50,000 in 2014. The next CWA conference will be held in Banff, Alberta in the fall (put the date and web link Ken so they can register). CWA also publishes a Journal which reaches every sector of the welding and joining industry providing expertly written articles and information which keeps industry stakeholders up to date on the latest innovations in welding.
INTEG is a division of CWB group and has complemented the welding inspection training and certification sector with our renowned NDE training systems since 1990. INTEG provides world class training by recognized experts in their field with extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience in many aspects of NDE.
